The British Forces Campaign Medal has been struck and issued by Award Productions to pay tribute to and recognise the contribution of British Forces involved in campaigns and operations otherwise unrecognised. Each 36mm diameter die-struck, nickel plated medal has been produced in the UK to the exacting standards for which we have become renowned. The cost of this commemorative medal includes one clasp, additional clasps can be added. Next of kin or direct decendants may also apply.
Qualifying criteria for this medal and any of the 17 clasps is one or more days’ service or posting in one or more of the qualifying operations in:
1. Afghanistan, 2. Cyprus, 3. Falklands, 4. Germany, 5. Gibraltar, 6. Gulf, 7. IRAQ, 8. KOREA, 9. LIBYA 10. Malaya, 11. Northern Ireland, 12. Norway, 13. Rhodesia, 14. Singapore, 15. Service alongside NATO forces or as part of a NATO-led initiative, 16. Border Patrol Protection, 17. Coastal Patrol Protection
The obverse features a compass-like design representing the global dominance of our Great British Forces, surmounted by a crown representing our monarch’s place as the head of the armed forces and framed with the bold, proud statement ‘BRITISH FORCES FOR CROWN & COUNTRY’.
REVERSE
The reverse of this important issue displays a victorious laurel wreath surrounding the crowned words ‘FOR BRITISH FORCES CAMPAIGN SERVICE’.
RIBBON
The simple and striking ribbon is styled in red, white and blue stripes; the colours of the flag of our great nation. This medal is supplied on a concealed single pin, ready to wear.
CLASPS
Seventeen die-cast clasps have been produced to cover important operations and postings. Each clasp, struck to match the style of the medal, is securely fixed to the medals’ suspender bar. The clasps are available for your British Forces Campaign Medal, the cost of the full-size and miniature medal includes ONE clasp but you can add as many additional clasps as are relevant to your service (for an additional charge).
